Ivey Ray Smith Jr.

Ivey Ray Smith, Jr., 69, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in his home. His funeral service will be 11am Friday, January 28, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive from 9:30am until 10:30am prior to the service. Ivey was born December 21, 1952 in Stanly County to the late Ivey Ray Smith, Sr. and Doris Morton Smith. He retired from the mobile home industry and he also worked for the Stanly County Disposal Site in Badin. He was a collector of diecast cars, and he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and car shows. Ivey is survived by his wife, Elaine Smith of the home. Other survivors include a son, David Smith (Mary); daughter, Melissa Terry (Harold) all of Albemarle; four grandchildren, Benjamin Smith, Ryan Smith, Milo Eudy and Jaxson Eudy and a sister Peggy Blalock of Charlotte, NC.
