Cherry Still Lawrence, 89, of Albemarle, formerly of New London, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 in Trinity Place of Albemarle.? Her funeral service will be at 3:00pm on Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel with Rev. John Black officiating.? Burial will follow at New London Cemetery.? The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00-2:45 prior to the service. Born October 23, 1927 in Norwood, N.C., she was the daughter of the late William Allen Still and Lilly Thompson Still.? Mrs. Lawrence was a graduate of Albemarle High School.? She worked and retired from Federal Pacific Electric.? She was a ?Charter Member of Second Street Presbyterian Church. She was married to the late Eugene ?Gene? Coolidge Lawrence Sr. whom preceded her in death on September 30, 1994.? Mrs. Lawrence is survived by two sons, Eugene ?Mickey? Coolidge Lawrence, Jr of New London,N.C., and Everette Allen Lawrence of Albemarle, N.C., two daughters Debbie Lawrence Will of Eighty Four, P.A., and Anne Lawrence Skeen of Denton, N.C., two sisters, Betty Harrington of Albemarle, N.C., and Blanche Blalock of Kings Mountain, N.C.? She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.? She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
