Ashley Wayne Cranford, 76, of Albemarle passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 12:30-2PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle. His funeral service will follow at 2PM following visitation in the sanctuary officiated by Pastor Matt Forrest and Pastor Chris Mabe. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Mr. Cranford was born April 9, 1945 in Stanly County to the late John Emsley Cranford and Annie Belle Wilhoit Cranford. He was a deacon and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Ashley worked for Collins & Aikman for 39 years before retiring. Mr. Cranford enjoyed fishing, CB Radios, and tinkering with electronics. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deborah Little Cranford of the home; son: Chris Cranford of Albemarle; daughter: Angie Smith (Chad) of Albemarle; grandchildren: Haley Eudy and fiancé Derek Pennington, Del Eudy and fiancée Hope Doby; great-grandchildren: Greyson Eudy, Kaleb Pennington, and Alice Pennington; sister: Johnnie Ann Lambert (Carl) of Ridgecrest; several nieces and nephews. Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Cranford family.
