Zane Grady Huneycutt of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, December 16th, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center - NorthEast in Concord, NC.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 20th, 2011 at Stony Hill United Methodist Church.  Rev. Lanny Lancaster and Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will be in the Church Cemetery. 

Born April 4th, 1935 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Huneycutt was the son of the late Houston Leonard Huneycutt  and Sena Burris Huneycutt.  He was a retired employee of Montgomery Motors in Troy, NC, Confederate Chevrolet of Albemarle, NC, and Lums Ford of Albemarle, NC.  He was a member of North Albemarle Baptist Church and a former member of the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Andrews Michael Huneycutt; one daughter, Joy Denise Castaneda of Concord, NC; three step-sons: Curt Douglas Michael of Albemarle, NC, Jeff Michael of Davidson, NC, and Chris Michael of Rochester, NY; two step-daughters, Donna Cranford of New London, NC and Patty Cline of Jenkintown, PA; four brothers: James Leonard Huneycutt of Concord, NC, Rickie Lane Huneycutt of Albemarle, NC, Dannie Burris of Albemarle, NC, and J.C. Burris of Oakboro, NC; four sisters: Jeanette Russell of Denton, NC, Lottie Bowers of Richfield, NC, Judy Hatley of Locust, NC, and Jacklyn Jones of Salisbury, NC; one grandchild, Samantha Joy Poplin; eleven step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
