Mr. Willie Lee "Dub" Lowder, Jr., age 77, of 33426 Old Salisbury Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 4th, 2011 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel.  Rev. Thomas Andrufski will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. 

Born June 21st, 1934 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Lowder was the son of the late Willie Lee and Bertha Morton Lowder and was a retired employee of All Star Mills with 30 years of service.  He was also a former owner of West End Auto.  He was of the Holiness Faith. 

He is survived by his former wife, Barbara Coley Lowder of Albemarle, NC; three daughters: Debbie Leopard and fiance Mike Macomson of New London, NC, Wendy Simpson and husband Jake of New London, NC, and Tracie Sells and husband Jeff of New London, NC; three brothers: Jerry Lowder of New Salem, NC, Alfred Lowder of Albemarle, NC, and Melvin Lowder of New Jersey; five grandchildren: Jennifer Pelt, Tony Lowder, Jr., Daniel Lowder, Sean Simpson, and Logan Sells; and five great-grandchildren: Eric Chester, Michael Polk, Emylie Lowder, Natalie Lowder, and Sophia Lowder.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie Lowder and Lonnie Boyd Lowder; and two sisters, Helen Huneycutt and Christine Crump.
