William R. Huneycutt, age 71, of 36161 Chapel Road, Norwood, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at his home. His family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at Stanly Funeral Home and the funeral will be at 4 PM on Thursday, February 4th at Silver Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Little and Rev. Otis Goins will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was born August 10th, 1938 to the late John Calvin Huneycutt and Lillie Mae Hinson Huneycutt. He was a retired farmer and former employee of American Efird Mills, Collins and Aikman, Kinley Farm, and the Town Of Norwood. He was a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Huneycutt; three sons: John Mark Huneycutt and wife Renee of Norwood, Roland Lee Huneycutt of the home and Shane Alan Huneycutt of the home; three brothers: Hurley Huneycutt of Norwood, Ralph Huneycutt of Charleston, SC, and Ted Huneycutt of Spartenburg, SC; one sister: Julia Carpenter of Norwood; three grandchildren: Bobby Wayne Foreman, Jr., Tiffany D. Smith, and Holly Erin Huneycutt; and one great-grandchild: Brooklyn Smith.
