Mr. Wayne Franklin Pickler, age 70, of Kendalls Church Road in New London, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 27th, 2011 at his home.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Saturday, January 29th, 2011 at Kendalls Baptist Church in New London, NC.  Rev. Chris Foxx will officiate and burial will be in the Church Cemetery. 

Born September 29th, 1940 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Pickler was the son of the late Clyde F. Pickler and Louise Marbry Pickler.  He was a retired Feeder Driver from UPS with 27 years of service.  He was a member of Kendalls Baptist Church, enjoyed farming, and was a big Panther's Fan.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Gregory Pickler; two sons, Jerry Pickler and wife Amy of Salisbury, NC and David Pickler and wife Lisa of New London, NC; two daughters, Sandra Viehmann and husband Dereke Hinson of Indian Trail, NC and Jacqueline Hoxit-Honaker and husband Tony of Indian Trail, NC; eight grandchildren: Matt Pickler, Trista Pickler, Jerry Wayne Pickler, Jr., Brittany Pickler, Laura Pickler, Dustin Viehmann, Brynn Viehmann, and Dillon Hoxit; and three great-grandchildren: Bryanna Pickler, Dominick Pickler, and Stella Pickler.
