Sharron Townsend Hinson, 61, of 713 Montgomery Avenue, Albemarle, NC, passed away on December 21st, 2009 at her home. Her funeral will be Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 at 11 AM at Stanly Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 AM til 11AM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Lesly Ray will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born November 15th, 1948 in Gaston County, NC, she was the daughter of Betty Withers and the late Charles Hubert Townsend. She was employed by Stanly Knitting Mills and a member of Pecan Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Larry G. Hinson; one son, David Welch and wife, Christy, of Gastonia; one daughter, Angie W. Heavner and husband, Ray, of Gastonia; one step-daughter, Alyssa Hinson of Albemarle; one brother, David Townsend of Gastonia; one sister, Peggy Phillips of Gastonia; one sister-in-law, Linda Deese and husband, Wilbert, and sons, Will and Wesley, of Albemarle; and three grandchildren.
