Mrs. Ruth Davis Faulkner of 37004 Faulkner Road in Norwood, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 in the Lutheran Home. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Farrell Shimpock will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times the family will be at Mrs. Faulkner's home, 37004 Faulkner Road, Albemarle, NC.
Born July 14th in Union County, NC, Mrs. Faulkner was the daughter of the late John Nathaniel Davis and Sarah Braswell Davis and was a former employee of Wiscassett Mills. She also worked as a sitter for the elderly and was a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clevon Linwood Faulkner; five brothers; and seven sisters. She is survived by three sons: David Linwood Faulkner, Sr. and wife Phyllis of Albemarle, Joe P. Faulkner and wife Josie of Norwood, and Billy A. Faulkner and wife Chris of Albemarle; eight grandchildren: David Linwood Faulkner, Jr., Ann-Marie Gallimore, Jaime Crozier, Jodee Dickens, Joshua Faulkner, Jessica Chestnut, Hannah Faulkner, and Sabrina Faulkner; and four great-grandchildren..
