Ruby Marie Kearns Honbarrier, 89, of 29133 Nelson Mountain Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Her family will receive friends at the Full Gospel Mission Church on Saturday evening, June 27th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 28th, at Full Gospel Mission Church in Albemarle, NC. Rev. Mitchell Cook and Rev. Jerry Baker will officiate and burial will be in Poplin's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born September 30, 1919 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late J.F. Kearns and Josie Holshouser Kearns. She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills and was a charter member of Full Gospel Mission Church. She served as church clerk from 1976-2000. She loved her church and her Lord. She also loved cooking, camping, and quilting.
She was married to the late Marshall Willard Honbarrier. She is survived by her children; Garrett Honbarrier and wife, Judy, of New London, NC and Janet H. Cook and husband, Mitchell, of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Alice Pickler of Albemarle; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
