Ms. Ruby Carol Griffin, age 72, of 425 Pee Dee Avenue, Albemarle, NC, passed away at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011 at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC and her family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until 11 AM just prior to the hour of service.  Rev. Stoney Benfield will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born April 6th, 1938 in Stanly County, NC, Ms. Griffin was the daughter of the late Tillman A. Griffin and Nancy Mauldin Griffin.  She was a graduate of Albemarle High School and a homemaker.  She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons: Lawrence Frick of Kannapolis, NC, Kenneth Frick of Albemarle, NC, and Raymond Frick of Albemarle, NC; two daughters, Melanie Frick of China Grove, NC and Marsha Dick of Albemarle, NC; one brother, T.A. Griffin of New London, NC; two sisters, Isabelle Morgan of Albemarle, NC and Margaret Deese of Norwood, NC; and seven grandchildren.  Six brothers: Floyd Griffin, Harold Griffin, Clyde Griffin, Ray Griffin, Basil Griffin, and Earl Griffin; and one sister, Hazel Burleson, proceeded Ms. Griffin in death.
