Mr. Roger Bruce Coggin, age 68, of 36429 NC 49 Hwy. New London, NC, passed away on Friday, October 29th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  His family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7 PM until 9 PM and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Monday, November 1st, 2010 at Antioch Baptist Church.  Rev. Rick Freeborn and Rev. Gene Sides will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born December 13th, 1941 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Coggin was the son of the late Jack Coggin and Lillie Mae Russell Coggin and was educated at Richfield High School.  He was a retired employee of Collins and Aikman and a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as  aDeacon and past Treasurer of the church.  In retirement he also enjoyed working his booth at the Stony Gap Flea Market.

He is survived by three sisters: Hilda Coggin Arey of New London, NC, Joyce Coggin Williams of Richfield, NC, and Donna Coggin Blake of Richfield, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
