Robert Earnest Polk, 59, of 4486 Old Davis Road, Norwood, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 at Britthaven of Piedmont Nursing Center in Albemarle, NC. His family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 11 AM Friday, January 29th in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel. Rev. Brian Burris will officate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

Born September 28th, 1950 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Polk was the son of the late George Wayne and Ruby Ray Polk and was a former employee of Standard Packing & Printing. He attended Freedom Holiness Church of Norwood, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Freida Biggers Polk; two brothers, Tony Polk of Norwood, NC and Johnny Polk of Albemarle, NC; and two sisters, Vivian Gregory of Norwood, NC and Crystal Wooten of Gastonia, NC. One sister, Wanda Starr Polk, preceded him in death.
