Polly Ann Rape Taylor, age 78, of 44286 Yadkin Brick Road, New London, NC, passed away on Friday, March 4th, 2011 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her funeral will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 just prior to the hour of service.  Rev. Paul Pickler will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. 

Born March 3rd, 1933 in Union County, NC, Ms. Taylor was the daughter of the late Hoyt Rape and Myrtle Odel Forbis Rape and was a former employee of Whitley's Luncheonette.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Taylor.  She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Taylor Deese of New London, NC; one brother, Earl Rape of Monroe, NC; two sisters, Linda Knull of Monroe, NC and Jacqueline Rape of Monroe, NC; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
