Phillip Jerome Huneycutt, age 54 of 8720 Hwy 218 East in Marshville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte, NC. His memorial service will be at 2 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Christ Episcopal Church in Albemarle, NC and his family will receive friends following the Memorial Service in the Parish Hall of the church. Father Jim Bernacki will officiate.

Born May 19, 1955 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Huneycutt was the son of the late Joseph Eugene and Margaret Irene Van Der Heide Huneycutt and was a former Correction Officer for Brown Creek Correctional Facility. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a Veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Barber Huneycutt; two daughters: Laurel Kate Huneycutt and Belle Irene Huneycutt; one brother: Joseph “Jody” Eugene Huneycutt, Jr. of Albemarle, NC; and two sisters: Linda Huneycutt Burris of Albemarle, NC and Denise Huneycutt Farris of Suffolk, VA and Badin, NC.
