Mr. Paul Anthony Paoli, age 56, of 53 Cedar Street, Badin, NC, passed away on Thursday, July 21st, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  His family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday evening at Stanly Funeral Home and his funeral will be at 11 AM on Friday, July 29th, 2011 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle, NC.  Father Peter Fitzgibbons will officiate and interment will be at a later date. 

Born September 25th, 1954 in Hancock, Michigan, Paul was the son of Ralph L. and Mary Ann LePage Paoli of Wausau, Wisconsin and a 1973 graduate of Ashland High School in Ashland, Wisconsin.  He was the Owner and Operator of Paoli Transport in Badin, NC and a member of The Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle, NC.  He loved car racing and go-kart racing as well as golf and boating.  He also was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. 

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cheryl Breece Paoli; one son, Mario Paoli and wife Jennifer of Hancock, Michigan; two daughters, Monica Paoli Erickson and husband John of Hancock, Michigan and Heidi Ann Paoli from Hancock, Michigan and her fiance' Scott of Houghton, Michigan; two brothers, Ralph L. Paoli, III and wife Vicky of Wausau, Wisconsin and Michael Paoli and wife Kathy of Holmen, Wisconsin; three sisters: Suzanne Shepard and husband Mark of Wayland, Massachusetts,  Therese Lee and husband Richard of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Mary Fruneaux and husband Marcel of S. Natick, Massachusetts; four grandchildren: Brendan, Isaiah, Rylie, and Luciano; nephews: Jason, Jeno, Tony, Ben, Jon, Brian, Mark, Ralph IV, Shane, Marco, Stephen, Toby, Kyler and Nate; nieces: Gina, Cija, Marissa, Sydney, Shawna, and Ginnah; and many other aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, and godchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen M. Paoli.
