Paul Benard Hathcock, 74, of 1138 Concord Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at his home. His funeral will be at 2 PM Sunday, October 25th, 2009 at the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. His family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service. Dr. Darrell Huneycutt will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born July 3rd, 1935 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Hathcock was the son of the late John Leonard Hathcock and Mary Lou Ingold Hathcock and was retired from CK Earnhardt and Son Company. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also fond of working in his yard and loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Ann Moore Hathcock of the home; one daughter, Paula H. Griffin of Franklinville, NC; four brothers: Junior Hathcock of Albemarle, NC, Albert Hathcock of New Salem, NC, Kenneth Hathcock of Mt. Pleasant, NC, and Aldean Hathcock of Albemarle, NC; two sisters: Bernice Doby of Denton, NC and Betty Jean Mauldin of Albemarle, NC; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
