Paul Henry Bowers, 95, of 20363 NC 138 Hwy., Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, September 25th, 2009 at BritthavenNursingCenter in Albemarle, NC. His family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 7 PM to 9 PM and his funeral will be at 3 PM on Monday, September 28th, 2009 at UnionGroveBaptistChurch. Rev. Lee Church will officiate and burial will be in UnionGroveBaptistChurch’s Cemetery.
Born April 5th, 1914 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Bowers was the son of the late Betsy Threadgill and Jessie Wilson Bowers and retired from E.J. Snyders. He was a member of UnionGroveBaptistChurch.
He was married to the late Virginia Rae Kimrey. He is survived by two sons: Paul E. Bowers of Albemarle, NC and Don E. Bowers of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
