Ophelia McCain Loftin, age 84, formerly of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Avante at Reidsville, Reidsville, NC. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Rev. Mark Weekley will officiate.

Born September 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John McCain and was a Graduate of Queens College. She was a homemaker and member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a talented knitter, hooked beautiful rugs, loved gardening, and was a wonderful cook.

She was married to the late Tom Loftin. She is survived by two sons: Tom Loftin, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Mac Loftin of Eden, NC and four grandchildren: Leah Loftin Loomis, Gray Loftin, Nicholas Loftin, and Michael Loftin.
