Myra Morton Jones, age 57, of 503 Azure Avenue, Albemarle, N.C. 28001, passed away on Thursday, February 25th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her memorial service will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the First Assembly of God, Albemarle, NC where she was a member. Her family will receive friends from 2 PM to 3 PM at First Assembly just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Bob Gruver and Rev. Bill Baldwin will officiate.
Born February 11, 1953 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Coyte Allen and Jacqueline Williams Morton, retired employee of Allison Mfg Co., and a Substitute Teacher with the Stanly County School System.
She is survived by her husband, Harrison W. Jones; a son: Jonathan Jones and wife Samantha of Albemarle, NC; a daughter: Melissa Jones Griffin and husband Ryan of Albemarle, NC; one brother: Richard A. Morton of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters: Sylvia M. Morgan of Albemarle, NC and Diane M. Combis of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren: Jacob Jones, Greg Jones, Whitney Efird and Tori Honeycutt.
