William Mike Caffey, 83, of 610 Hazelwood Drive, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 at Stanly Regional Center in Albemarle. His funeral will be 11 AM Tuesday Aug 4^th, 2009 in Stanly Gardens of Memory with Masonic Graveside Rites by Yadkin Falls Lodge 637. Rev. Roger Thomas will officiate.

Born October 6th, 1925 in Montgomery County, NC, he was the son of the late James Francis Caffey and Susan Virginia Haywood Caffey and was a retired draftsman with Alcoa. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Albemarle, a member of Yadkin Falls Lodge 637 A.F. & A.M., and a veteran of the US Navy WWII. He is survived by his wife, Sara Archy Caffey, and two sisters: Mary Parker Edwards of Mt. Gilead, NC and Virginia Caffey Harrington of Alexandria, VA. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Dalton Caffey and James Francis Caffey, Jr.; and one sister, Thelma Caffey Moss.
