Michael Wade Smith, age 60, of Key West, FL passed away on June 4th, 2010 in Fincastle, VA.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his graveside funeral will be at 2 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Weddington United Methodist Church's Cemetery in Weddington, NC. 

Born December 18th, 1949 in Cabarrus County, NC, he is survived by his father and step-mother, Sanford and Rose Smith, Jr.; his mother, Renee Gardner of Arizona; his son, Steve Smith of Monroe, NC; and his sister, Angela Magra of Vermont. 

He was a graduate of Indian Trail High School and a member of Weddington United Methodist Church.
