Michael Edward Poplin, age 32, of 1108 Pennington Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Monday, March 14th, 2011 at his home.  There will be no formal services. 

Born December 17th, 1978 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Poplin was the son of Brenda Kay Whitley and the late Fred Edward Poplin.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Jimmy V. Poplin of Fleetwood, NC; two sisters, Glenda Medlin of Thomasville, NC and Donna Lewellen of Norwood, NC; and his girlfriend, Felicia G. Owens.
