Mrs. Merle Frick Mullis, age 85, of 403 Graham Street, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 1st, 2012 at Stanly Manor.  Her graveside funeral will be at 2 PM on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 in Stanly Gardens of Memory.  Her family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.  Rev. Donald Ray Johnson will officiate. 

Born March 1st, 1926 in Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Mullis was the daughter of the late Burl and Ella Culp Frick.  She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Company and a member of Congregational Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Mullis; son, Tony Carrol Mullis; and daughter, Patricia Paolella.  She is survived by one son, Joe Edward Mujllis of Pace, FL; one daughter, Bobbie Hallik of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Gaynell Chastain of Albemarle, NC; one grandchild; and three step-grandchildren.
