Mary Ruth Herlocker Huneycutt, 80, of 24724 US Hwy 52 South, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009, at The Lutheran Home in Albemarle. Her Graveside Service will be at 5:30 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2009 in the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kristy Burnette will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service on Thursday in the church sanctuary.
Born January 13, 1929 in Orange County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Tollie Cline and Brona Brown Herlocker and was a retired employee with Stanly Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. She was married to the late R.E. "Red" Huneycutt, Jr. She is survived by one son: Jimmy Cline Huneycutt and wife Deborah of Albemarle, one daughter: Judy Huneycutt Clayton and husband Billy of Albemarle, four grandchildren: Misty Broadway, Chad Clayton, Jason Huneycutt, and Jamie Huneycutt, and ten great-grandchildren: Brittany, Clayton, Chase, Camden, Caylee, Nelah Jo, Alex, Lannah, Levi, and Ella Grace.
