Martha Lois Saunders Stiles, 81, of 110 Lee Street, Apt. 5, Richfield, NC, passed away on Monday, June 29th, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 2nd, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Richfield, NC. Her family will receive friends at the church following the service. Pastor Graham Nahouse will officiate and burial will be in Richfield Cemetery.
Born November 29, 1927 in Reynolds, GA, she was the daughter of the late Willis Douglas and Allie Lee Hill Saunders. She was a retired school secretary in Haywood County, NC and a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Greenville, SC. She enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Bruce E. Stiles; two daughters, Cindy S. Misenheimer and husband Jim of Richfield, NC, and Cathy Stiles of Atco, NJ; one brother, Douglas Saunders of Mesa, Arizona; and two grandchildren, Ben and Andrew Misenheimer. One son, Weldon Willis Stiles, preceded her in death.
