Margie Bailey Mauldin, age 84, of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Hospice House of Union County in Monroe, NC. Her funeral will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and her family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the hour of service. At other times her family will be at the home of Janice and David Smith, 633 East Cannon Avenue, Albemarle, NC. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born October 4, 1925 in Union County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mahlon and Mary Frances Forte Bailey and was a homemaker and former employee of Wiscassett Mills Co. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Albemarle, NC and enjoyed listening to music. She loved her children and grandchildren.
She was married to the late Thomas Alexander Mauldin. She is survived by three daughters: Janice M. Smith and husband David of Albemarle, NC, Linda M. Lomax and husband Randy of Monroe, NC, and Brenda M. Talbert and husband Dean of Albemarle, NC; one sister: Frances B. Doby of Albemarle, NC; five grandchildren: Jeremy D. Talbert and wife Jill, Matthew D. Talbert, Lindsey Lomax Horne and husband Dusty, Amanda B. Cauble, and Melissa B. Talbert; three step-grandchildren: Matt Smith and wife Ann, Mike Smith and wife Jill, and Drew Smith; four great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
