Mabel Lewis Rowe, 95, of 1104 Montgomery Avenue, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 13th, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Her funeral will be at 2 PM Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Her family will receive friends from 1:15 until 1:45 on Tuesday prior to the hour of service. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.

Born November 30th, 1914 in Aurora, NC, Mrs. Rowe was the daughter of the late Delamar Lewis and Cornelia Sawyer Lewis and was a homemaker. She was a member of Aurora United Methodist Church and liked flower-gardening and birdwatching. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Aurora.

She was married to the late George Lee Rowe. She is survived by two daughters: Cornelia Little and husband Gary of Albemarle and Marthan Kebhart and husband Richard of Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters: Ola Douglas of Washington and Beulah Howerin of Bayboro, NC; two grandchildren: Allison Khan and husband Richard and Adam Kebhart; and one great-grandchild: Jasiahs Khan.
