Mrs. Lucille Snuggs Drye, age 84, of 2317 Seymore Avenue, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, September 3rd, 2010 at home.  Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM and her funeral will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel.  Rev. Timothy Whittington will officiate and burial will be in Randall's United Methodist Church's Cemetery. 

Born September 2nd, 1926 in Norwood, NC, Mrs. Drye was the daughter of the late Eli Snuggs and Stella Mae Johnson Snuggs.  She was educated at Badin School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and an avid reader. 

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Donald Drye; two sons, Donald Bryan Drye and wife Jean of Raleigh, NC and Edward Lewis Drye and wife Carla of Troy, Ohio; four grandchildren: Christopher Drye, Brittany Harris, Stewart Blatt, and Bryan Drye; and three great-grandchildren: Christian Drye, Braedin Drye, and Kaeleb Drye.  Two brothers, Kenneth Eli Snuggs and John Wayne Snuggs, preceded her in death.
