Mrs. Lucienne Burleson Morris, age 80, of 2204 NC Hwy. 52 North, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.  Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC.  Pastor Stoney Benfield will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born May 24th, 1931 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late Duke Burleson and Helen Barrett Burleson.  She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Co. and a member of Prospect Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reid David Morris; brother, Pierce Burleson; and sister, Thetus Ann Burleson.  She is survived by one son, David E. Morris and wife Cindy of Faith, NC; one brother, Duke Burleson and wife Lillie of Richfield, NC; two sisters, Mary Lou Eudy of Albemarle, NC and Pauline Ingram and husband Clay of Albemarle, NC; and two grandchildren, Robert Morris and Richard Morris.
