Louise Kimmer Thompson, 66, of 18634 Outback Trail, Norwood, passed away on June 25, 2009 at her home. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

 

Born July 2, 1942, in Lancaster County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Arlie and Nellie Laney Kimmer and was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Co.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was married to Bobby Thompson of the home.  Other survivors include four daughters, Greta Hobson of New London, Tammy Robinson of Norwood, Janet Lynn Thompson of Raleigh and Lisa Carol Thompson of Charlotte; a brother, Ray Kimmer of Granite Falls, S.C.; a sister, Joyce Faircloth of Albemarle; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
