Louise Howard Palmer, 87, of 620 Heathwood Drive, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 3rd at Forrest Oaks Nursing Center. There will be a Memorial Service at 3 PM on Tuesday, May 5th in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service.  

Born August 19, 1921 in Murphy, NC, she was the daughter of the late James M. Howard and Frances Crowe Howard.  She was a homemaker and a member of Broad Street Methodist Church in Statesville.  She was a former employee of the Tennessee Valley Authority, WBT in Charlotte, and also Alcoa.  She was married to the late John Cornelius Palmer.  She is survived by two sons, Johnny Palmer III (Jock) of Badin and Jim Palmer of Badin; one sister, Francine H. Russell of Albemarle; two grandchildren, William and Lauren; and three great-grandchildren.  One brother, James Howard, preceded her in death.
