Lizzie Whiltey Troublefield, 91, of 625 Bethany Road, Albemarle, passed away on sunday, July 5th, 2009 at Stanly Manor Nursing Center in Albemarle. Her funeral will be at 2 PM Wednesday, July 8th, at Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel. The Rev. Scott Schoffner will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. Her family will recieve friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the hour of the service. At other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, Sue Harkey, 28874 Herrin Grove Road in Locust, NC.

Born April 21, 1918 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Zedic and Riller Faulkner Whitley and was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Company. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She was married to the late Wade Max Troublefield. A daugher, Shirley Rummange, preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by two sons, Max Troublefield of Albemarle and Larry Troublefield of Stanley; a daughter, Sue Harkey of Locust; a sister, Lilly Bost of Albemarle; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
