Linda Sue Nowling Morton, 70, of Salisbury Avenue, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in Britthaven of Piedmont Nursing Center. Her family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and her funeral will be at 10:00 AM Thursday September 3, 2009 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.
Born November 12, 1938 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William James Nowling and Mary Fannie Phillips Nowling and was a former employee of Kissimmee Florida Hospital. She was married to the late Ray Morton. She is survived by on son: Michael Hurlocker of Oakboro, NC; three daughters: Bobbie Williams of Albemarle, Ginger Phillips of Georgetown, and Cindy Haraczy of Myrtle Beach; one sister: Loretta Bundy of Albemarle; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Stanly Funeral Home.
