Mrs. Lillian Mae Dorsey Parcell, age 87, of 625 Bethany Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Stanly Manor Nursing Center in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be at 12:30 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Laura Hamrick will officiate and burial will be at the Fairview Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation.

Born December 21, 1922 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Parcell was the daughter of the late James Joseph and Mae McCoy Dorsey. She was a member of Badin United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Parcell was preceded in death by her husband, Darel Robert Parcell.  She is survived by one son, Thomas Robert Parcell of Ball Ground, GA; two grandchildren: Jason Robert Parcell and Matthew Edward Parcell, both from Atlanta, GA.
