Lennie Theodore Dennis, 87, of 315 Park Ridge Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. His funeral will be at 2:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2009 at Stanly Funeral Home. His family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the hour of the service. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born February 16, 1922 in Montgomery County, NC, Mr. Dennis was the son of the late William and Annie Hunsucker Dennis and was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Company. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He was married to the late Lucille Tucker Dennis. Survivors include one son, Bill Dennis and wife Sherri of New London, NC; one daughter, Linda Dennis Jolly; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One son-in-law, Darrell Jolly, preceded him in death.
