Mrs. Kelly Lee Bowers Smith, age 51, of 29143 Hartsell Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, January 7th, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday,  January 12th, 2011 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and her family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service there at the Funeral Home.  Rev. Brian Burris will officiate.

Born March 28th, 1959 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Janet Smith Bowers Chance and the late Gene Bowers.  She was a painter. 

She is survived by four sons: Michael Shane Rummage, Robert Charles Kratzer, Derrick Lee Rummage, and Christopher Allen Smith all of Albemarle, NC; one daughter, Christa Michelle Smith of Albemarle, NC; three brothers: Ricky Joe Bowers of Albemarle, NC, Mark Chance of Mt. Pleasant, NC, and Donald Chance of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Misty Gurnsey of Sanford, NC; and six grandchildren.
