Johnny Chester Coley, age 74, of 6602 Barrier Store Road, Mt. Pleasant, NC, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at CMC NorthEast Medical Center in Concord, NC. His family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral Home and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Full Gospel Mission Church in Albemarle, NC. Rev. Mitchell Cook and Rev. Jerry Baker will officiate.
Born July 25, 1935 in Stanly County, Mr. Coley was the son of the late Luke Coley and Ruth Lisk Coley and was a retired superintendent with 35 years at Centex-Simpson Construction and a member of Full Gospel Mission Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Shelton Coley; two daughters: DeDe Lefler and fiance Bill Foreman of Salisbury, NC and Sabrina Haigler and husband Jamie of Mt. Pleasant, NC; one son-in-law: Ronald Reece; one brother: Bill Coley of Albemarle, NC; three sisters: Jerri Burleson of Albemarle, NC, Barbara Talbert of Albemarle, NC, and Eleanor Yow of Concord, NC; three grandchildren: Samantha, Lily, and Tyler; and one great-grandchild: Miley. One daughter, Misty Dawn Reece, preceded him in death.
