John Birch "J.B." Lambert, 86, passed away on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 at the North Carolina Lutheran Home in Albemarle, NC.  The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Monday, June 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the hour of the service.  His funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 22nd, 2009 at Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel.  Rev. Tab Whitley will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.

Born February 15th, 1923 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late David Arthur and Sallie Kimrey Lambert.  He was a retired employee of City of Albemarle and a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church.  He was married to the late Annie Ruth Adams Campbell Lambert.  Survivors include one step-son, Tony Campbell of Tennessee; three step-daughters, Gloria C. Parker of Lexington, VA, Hilda C. Hager of Albemarle, NC, and Myrna C. Pennington of Albemarle, NC; and one brother, Frank Lambert of Albemarle, NC.
