Jo Ellen Odenweller Ochs, 81, of 1214 Hill St., Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Stanly Regional Medical Center.

A mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle, where she was a member.  Father Peter Fitzgibbons will officiate. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

Born May 4, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Richard F. and Albert Clawson Odenweller.

A homemaker, she was also a former secretary with the Fort Lauderdale Florida Police Detective Bureau.

She is survived by her husband, William V. Ochs of the home; two sons, Thomas W. Ochs of Atlanta, Ga., and Philip M. Ochs and wife, Julie, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Kathleen O. Davis and husband, Douglas, of Richfield and Janet O. Roberts and husband, Ronald, of Charlotte; a brother, Richard “Dick” Odenweller and wife, Peggy, of Augusta, Ga.; nine garndchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Monday from 9-10 a.m. prior to the hour of service.
