Miss Jewell Lucille Sells, age 86, of 40689 Stony Gap Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 11 AM on Monday, September 13th, 2010 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church's Cemetery.
Born on July 25th, 1924, to the late Edgar Lee Sells and Cordelia Hinson Sells, Miss Sells was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Co. and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by one brother, John D. "Bill" Sells of Albemarle, NC and two sisters, Ruth S. Cotter and Jeanette S. Poplin of Albemarle, NC. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Williams Edgar Sells, Floyd Lee Sells, and Jessy Sells; and four sisters: Grace S. Efird, Etta S. Eudy, Eunice S. Burris, and Evelyn S. Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
