Mr. James David Whitley, age 33, of 604 Marion Street, Badin, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 in his home.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel.  Rev. Mitchell Cook and Rev. Jerry Baker will officiate and burial will be in Dunn's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Born June 28th, 1977 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Whitley was the son of Belinda Morton Whitley Mauldin of Albemarle, NC and the late Manuel Cecil Whitley.  He was an employee of Lucas Home Concrete, attended Full Gospel Mission Church, and loved to hunt.

He is also survived by his wife, Debra Ann Manning Whitley; three daughters: Destiny Ann Whitley, Claudine Mae Whitley, and Emily Diane Whitley all of Albemarle, NC; two brothers, Foyelee Ernest Whitley of Salem, Oregon and Anthony David Whitley of Albemarle, NC; and one sister, Amanda Faye Whitley of Albemarle, NC.
