Mrs. Ida Oberbauer Suranyi, age 85, of 32647 Pennington Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be on Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 at 3 PM in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and her family will receive friends from 2 PM until 2:45 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate.
Born January 1st, 1925 in Budapest, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Tamas and Julia Cseri Oberbauer and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Gabor Suranyi, her daughter, Magdolna Suranyi Waters, and stepbrother, Frank Cherry of Canada.
