Helen Elizabeth Gilbert Gaddy, age 85, of 42912 Vickers Store Road in Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, April 9th, 2010 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel on Monday, April 12th, 2010 at 2 PM and her family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born November 6th, 1924 in Norfolk, VA, Mrs. Gaddy was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Gertrude Taylor Gilbert. She was a homemaker and resided at the Homeplace. She was a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church where she enjoyed many church activities. She also enjoyed antique collecting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Gaddy, and one brother, George T. Gilbert. She is survived by her son, Joel A. Gaddy and wife Sandra of Fleetwood, PA and two grandchildren, Ashley Gaddy McQuaide and Aaron Gaddy.
