Mrs. Hazel T. Hill, age 78, of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, April 16th, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main.  Her family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 at Canton Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC.  Rev. Mark Mabry and Rev. Farrell Shimpock will officiate and burial will be in Poplin's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born March 9th, 1933 in Chesterfierld County, SC, Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Fred Tolson and Ethel T. Tolson.  She was a retired employee of Allison's Manufacturing and former employee of Belk Department Store.  She was a member of Canton Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Edward "Ed" Hill.  She is survived by two daughters; Robin Sowell and husband Lee of Greenville, SC and Tonya Swaringen and husband Jerry of Albemarle, NC; and one son, Eddie Hill of Norwood, NC.
