Harvey Bruce Bost, 87, of 34607 A Mabry Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Monday, November 23rd, 2009 at his home. His funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 27th, 2009 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. His family will receive firends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM just prior to the hour of service at the funeral home. Rev. Mark Medlin will officiate and burial will be in New London Cemetery in New London, NC.
Born November 12, 1922 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Soloman Rickard Bost, Sr. and Eliza Whitley Bost and was retired from Homes By Oakwood. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC and a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII.
He was married to the late Lectie Talbert Bost. He is survied by one brother, Millard Odell Bost, Sr. of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Hazel Bost Burleson of Albemarle, NC; and one special friend, Ramelle Cooper of Albemarle, NC. He is preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Bost; one daughter, Phyllis Ann Bost; five brothers: Clifford Bost, Robert Bost, S.R. Bost, John Bost, and Julius Bost; five sisters: Mae Burris, Fannie Bost, Rosa Helms, Lillian Talbert, and Malene Boaz.
