Harold Allen Whitley, Sr., age 65, of 20409 Biles Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Monday, March 28th, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7 PM to 9 PM and his funeral will be at 11 AM on Friday, April 1st, 2011 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel.  Rev. Tab Whitley will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

Born May 29th, 1945 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Whitley is the son of the late Alvin Allen and Gladys Foreman Whitley.  He was a former employee of Lowder Harware and Lorch's Plumbing and Heating.  He was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church in New London, NC. 

He is survived by two sons, Harold Allen Whitley, Jr. and wife Tracy of Albemarle, NC and Bryan James Whitley of New York; one daughter, Elaine Whitley Story and husband Steve of Albemarle, NC; and five grandchildren: Adam Robertson, Brent Robertson, Stacy Whitley, Anna Carpenter, and Luke Carpenter.
