Geraldine Lorraine Strickland Wise, age 75, of 24724 South Business 52, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her Funeral will be at 2 PM on Monday, January 16th, 2012 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and her family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM just prior to the hour of service.  Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.

Born June 1st, 1936 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Wise was the daughter of the late William Strickland and Cora Hinson Strickland.  She was a homemaker and former employee of Wiscassett Mills.  She also was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Wise; and two brothers, Bryce Strickland and Hurley Strickland.  She is survived by one son, Michael Edward Wise of Albemarle, NC; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Sue of Badin, NC and Myra Wise Honbarrier and husband Tommy of Midland, NC; two brothers, Harold Strickland and Marion Strickland of Albemarle, NC; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
