Mrs. Frances Laughlin Zimmerman, age 76, of 1513 Melchor Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 18th, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her funeral will be at 3 PM on Sunday, August 21st, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church and her family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM just prior to the hour of service.  Rev. Delane Burris and Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. 

Born February 1st, 1935 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Zimmerman was the daughter of the late Neal Laughlin and Myrtle Smith Laughlin.  She was educated at Efird School and Stanly Community College.  She was a retired employee of Richfield Mfg. Co. and member of Grace Baptist Church.  She was a Hospice Volunteer and Memory Bear Maker. 

She is survived by her son, Richard Foster of Albemarle, NC; daughter, Carol Benoy of Albemarle, NC; three grandchildren: Jodi Wahab of Albemarle, NC, Danny Benoy of Albemarle, NC, and Alan Foster of Alabama; and seven great-grandchildren: Samantha Johnson, Chris Johnson, Caleb Benoy, Cody Benoy, Mia Benoy, Josh Wahab, and Jordan Wahab.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Laughlin.
