Flossie Harward Huneycutt, 91, of 620 Heathwood Drive, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 26, 2009 in Stanly Funeral Home’s Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the hour of the service. Rev. Wayne Bennett will officate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.

Born December 16, 1918, Ms. Huneycutt was the daughter of the late George C. and Alice Little Harward and was a former homemaker and employee of Allisons Mfg. Co.. She was a member of North Albemarle Baptist Church and was a former Sunday School Teacher and a faithful member of the church while her health permitted.

She was married to the late Reece Franklin Huneycutt. She is survived by one son, Richard Huneycutt and wife Kay of Albemarle, NC; one daughter, Sylvia Trexler and husband Charles of New London, NC; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One son, Edward Franklin Huneycutt, and a number of brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
